River Rock Casino Resort is going back to the 80’s this New Year’s Eve! Internationally loved pop hit-makers, The Go-Go’s helped cement the foundation of the early 80’s pop-rock sound as they conquered the charts, the airwaves and pop culture in general. It was during this time that the band was virtually inescapable turning Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey and Gina Schock into certified rock stars as their sparkling California pop appealed to an astonishingly wide cross-section of music fans.
Their debut album, Beauty and the Beat was released in 1982 topping not only the US charts for six weeks but charting at #2 in Canada. The album – which went on to achieve triple-platinum status – featured the hit singles, “We Got The Beat” and “Our Lips Are Sealed”. Their next albums included the hit singles, “Vacation”, “Heads Over Heels” and “Turn To You”. Today The Go-Go’s live shows continue to deliver every bit of the raw energy of their now-legendary punk beginnings tempered with the wisdom of three decades of pop perfection! Don’t miss The Go-Go’s when they’ll be ringing in 2014 – 80’s style – in the ultimate New Year’s Eve Party at the River Rock Casino Resort on December 31, 2013.
