Comedian David Brenner has had a remarkable career. Beginning with his national TV debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” back in 1971, he went on to make the most appearances of any guest on the show … a total of 158. He has continued to be the most frequent talk show guest of any entertainer as confirmed in “The Book of Lists #2.” And while other comedians debated whether to tell jokes after September 11, 2001, Brenner terminated a fourty-eight week engagement in Las Vegas to go on a nationwide tour he entitled “Laughter to The People” which has since taken him on the road every week. In his own words, “I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine and that if one can laugh, one can live.” Fellow comedian Richard Lewis turned misery from a state of mind into a lengthy and lucrative career. A stand-up comic whose stream-of-consciousness riffs earned him both a loyal audience and the respect of his peers, Lewis was named by both GQ magazine and Comedy Central as one of the best and most influential comics of the last century. With scores of appearances in TV series and films including Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) and Leaving Las Vegas (1995), the role closest to his heart was that of “Marty Gold” on the critically acclaimed sitcom, “Anything But Love” opposite Jamie Lee Curtis which aired on ABC from 1989 to 1993. Lewis can currently be seen on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” playing himself. Brenner and Lewis will together be bringing their hilarious stand-up routines to the River Rock Casino Resort in July.
