A long string of classics followed including “This Is My Song,” “My Love,” “I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love,” ”Don’t Sleep In The Subway,” “Color My World,” "Who Am I," “A Sign Of The Times,” “Kiss Me Goodbye” and “I Know A Place” for which she won her second Emmy. Petula became a household name after performing on dozens of television shows including “The Ed Sullivan Show,” “The Dean Martin Show” and “The Carol Burnett Show.” She starred in several British films including London Town, Never Never Land and the classic, I Know Where I’m Going. Her movie career further blossomed in the U.S. when she was paired opposite Fred Astaire in Francis Ford Coppola’s Finian’s Rainbow and Peter O’Toole in M-G-M’s musical remake of Goodbye, Mr. Chips which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. In 1994, she received rave reviews starring on Broadway in the hit musical, “Blood Brothers” and subsequently toured with the show across the country. More accolades followed as she starred as “Norma Desmond” in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Sunset Boulevard” on London’s West End in 1996. She then took the show on tour in the U.S. for over two years. In 2000, she starred in the stage production of “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.” Today Petula still enjoys performing on the road and will be making her debut at the River Rock Casino Resort in September.
